  12. This patch file will update the Compact Disk version of
  13. OctaMED Soundstudio V1.00 to V1.01d.
  14.  
  15. It will not patch any floppy versions.

  23. Instructions
  24. ============
  25. To use the patch, copy the OctaMED executable file from the
  26. CD to a hard disk or a floppy.
  27.  
  28. To make things easier, temporarily rename the file from
  29. OctaMED Soundstudio V1 to just OctaMED.
  30.  
  31. Then copy the file of your choice (100to101d.pch-E etc) along with
  32. the spatch program to the same directory as the renamed file (OctaMED).
  33.  
  34. From the Shell prompt, cd to that directory and type:
  35.  
  36.                      spatch -p100to101d.pch-E OctaMED
  37.  
  38. The patch will be applied, and after it's complete, you can do
  39. the following steps:
  40.  
  41.                  * delete 100to101d.pch-E ( OR -D,F,I )
  42.                  * delete the old renamed file called OctaMED
  43.                  * rename OctaMED.new as OctaMED Soundstudio V1
  44.  
  45. Now you have V1.01d of the executable file.
  46.  
  47. You must, of course, run this updated version from your hard disk,
  48. (or floppy), however, the original CD must still be inserted into your
  49. CD-ROM Drive prior to you actualy attemptimg to start this upgrade version.

  51. Fixes
  52. =====
  53. Since V1.00, these changes have been made:
  54.  
  55. * OctaMED could sometimes crash after loading a module (only if the Save
  56.   window had been opened before that). Fixed.
  57. * Use Mixing (MMD) option (Misc. Opts) didn't always work correctly, should
  58.   be fixed.
  59. * All Cmd Pages didn't work in Block and Track menus, fixed.
  60. * Sample editor pointer (in non-mixing mode) might have had wrong speed in
  61.   some screen modes, should be fixed.
  62. * A new feature in the Notation Editor: When Advance with Voice is set in
  63.   Keyboard Options, right-mouse clicking a line in notation editor plays
  64.   all the notes on that horizontal position (tracker line).
  65. * Some other minor corrections, some strings changed to be more user-
  66.   friendly, etc.
